Save Money All 2020 | High Efficiency HVAC Solutions

February 20, 2020

Everyone likes saving money. Whether you’re going to use it for a family vacation, a major home upgrade, or a gift for someone you love, money saved is just as good (if not better) than money earned! When it comes to saving some green, your HVAC system is no exception. Older systems will cost you more on a monthly basis in both energy costs and necessary repairs that will be eventually needed. Those additional costs really add up on a yearly basis! At Aero Designed Systems, we’re passionate about providing total home comfort and doing so in the most economical and efficient way(s) possible. If you’re interested in high efficiency HVAC options, look no further!

We’ve been serving the Georgetown, Lakeway, and greater Austin area since 1980, and after being part of this community for 30 years, we believe that everyone deserves to have a fully functional HVAC system all-year-round without paying an arm and a leg to use it! If you’re looking to bump up your system’s efficiency levels, here’s how:

Schedule a Routine Maintenance Appointment

The best place to start when looking to increase your system’s efficiency is with what you already have! Over time, your system gets dirty and small components can be fouled or just generally malfunction. When things like that happen, your system is going to either not function at all or have to work extra hard to accomplish the same job it used to.

If you don’t know when your system was last serviced, it’s time to get an appointment on the books. Your system should be serviced at least once a year, and it’s ideal that it’s done twice per calendar year. When looking at high efficiency HVAC options, having your system serviced is one of the best things you can do for your HVAC system’s lifespan and your wallet!

Make Sure Your Filters Are Clean

Your system needs air to function correctly, let alone efficiently. Changing your filters is one of the easiest things you can do to boost the efficiency of your system – you can swing by a home improvement store or even your major big-box stores and pick up a new filter whenever you need and swapping it in for the old one will take less than 5 minutes. But just because it’s not super involved doesn’t mean it’s not super important! The harder it is for your system to breathe, the harder it is for your system to function – adding more wear and tear to your system and costing you more in utilities. If you’re even thinking about looking at high efficiency HVAC options, change your filters first.

Look At Your Upgrade Options

With how quickly technology progresses nowadays, a newer and more efficient HVAC system comes out every year. If you’re still living with a system from the 90’s or your current setup is giving you trouble regularly, it’s time to start looking through high efficiency HVAC system upgrades! A new system will provide you with a whole new level of total home comfort and will generally save you money over the life of the system in both repairs and utility costs!

We know that your options can be overwhelming – there are quite a few different levels of systems from quite a few different manufacturers. We install and service systems from a variety of manufacturers, like these systems from our friends at Lennox. If you have any questions or would like us to guide you through all of your different options, give us a call!

Replacing an HVAC system can be a headache, but an old HVAC setup may be costing you hundreds of dollars more per year than a new air system! Upgrading won’t just save you money monthly on electricity usage, it will offer you more options than ever before, including compatibility with devices such as smart thermostats.
